Great Leaders are Not Born, They are Made.

  That’s really a tragedy, because our country and our people need good leaders. Corporations, associations, and athletic teams all need good leaders. Even parents must be good leaders or their families can become dysfunctional. It is hardly an exaggeration to say that our very success as a nation depends upon good leadership.
            
            But my research shows conclusively that effectiveness as a leader depends less on some innate trait you are born with, and much more on specific principles that anyone can follow.”

There have been a numbers of debates concerning the issue of what makes a great leader. This debate is usually summarized into two schools of thought. The one school proposes that leaders are a select few people who are born with the unique set of skill and have rare leadership abilities. The other school of thought proposes that leaders are made, that is they learn, grow and develop into great leaders through the books they read, the people they associate with and from their personal experiences.

My take on this discussion is that I believe that Leaders are made, and I am not the only one with this belief.

The truth is the most people have the potential to become leaders. The real issue is that leadership takes time to develop…
§  People need time to figure out what they’re passionate about
§  People need time to understand their personal vision and purpose
§  People need time to learn how to express who they
§  People need time to learn how to use their unique strengths and skills
§  People need time to learn how to express their purpose in their own unique way.


As the saying goes…. the fighter does not win in the ring… he is only recognized there! You see leadership is not something you’re born with, it cannot be taught, it cannot be copied… it’s learnt!

Sensitive...Emotional..Distress


I want to share with you guys something that I’ve noticed a long time before… I kind of had a feeling that most of the words were describing as negative emotions. This negative thought tends to give me problems where sometimes I’m lack of confidence and self-esteem. I’m quite sure that everyone has this kind of feeling inside themselves. This sensitivity can dramatically impact us to negative side. However we need to overcome this feeling and motivate ourselves with positive words. It is hard to put into words exactly how I've been feeling. But when I feel distress I will list out my “emotional word” and fill in this blank
 “I feel ……..” :
  • ·         Feeling of being controlled
  • ·         Feeling hurt or taken advantage of
  • ·         Feeling unwanted
  • ·         Feeling fragile


These feeling lead me fell distress and become a quite person at certain time. So, how do I cope when I feel emotional or enduring emotional stress? First, I try to listen to music, or play it myself. I will find inspirational songs and play them over and over again. Then, I write out all the frustration, anger, pain, disappointment, fear, worry, and disbelief that my diagnosis has brought.

I also use self-talk to calm myself down and figure out what is making me so stressed. I really look at what the cause is and decide if it is something I can change or not. A friend's listening ear, are my immediate coping mechanism for all my major emotional stress. These sessions are always followed by advises on coping, and I end up praying for solutions.So, if you feel distress or emotional (same as mine), try to stretch it out and may be you can try as I mention above to make your life better and more enjoyable.

Househusband
          Nowadays, househusband or being a stay-at-home dad has become common things among our society. The number of househusband has been gradually increasing each year based on many reasons. The main reason why this scenario keeps happened because recently more women have higher education then men. This indicates that women have better chances of getting employed or obtaining higher job positions which men find difficult to compete with intelligent woman to find a good job. The other reason is due economic slowdown, where factories or company lay off their workers to survive. Therefore, those retrenched workers having difficulties in finding a new job. At the same time, women are now progressing into higher-paying jobs and in this case the woman with higher-paid parent makes more economic sense for her to continue to work while the man takes role at home. Differences in parent's schedules can also account for some of the stay-at-home dads. For example, when the father works odd work shifts while the mother has a typical eight-to-five work schedule. But, there are also few men that tend to be househusband and gave all responsibilities to the wives rather than to fill his  family needs thus became irresponsible husband. This situation that has been long kept need to change which it will affect economic condition of the country and also the structure of the family society. So, it is about time that we have to open our eyes and consider alternative ways that have high potentials of bringing out this problem.

Students must vote during the 'Students' Election' because....

         
         MICET had already passed the season of student election couple weeks ago... “Are you done your part voting your candidate???" Do you think that elections are not important? Think about it for a while… It only takes about five minutes, you stand in a short line, make a couple of multiple choice decisions on a piece of paper and drop it into a box. If the council does not run a proper election, the candidates who will get elected will be the ones who are the most popular and not the most qualified.


        I want to ask some question that might change your picture about the importance of student’s election: Do you want your rights to be protected? 
Do you want students unions' activity to be improved? So, these are the reasons to participate in elections. Voting at the elections can be considered a student's responsibility. We must choose and elect our leaders or representative wisely that will influence our future needs.

        Choosing a candidate is a very important step. We have to use our critical thinking to evaluate the candidate criteria. At the same time it is important to assess personal qualities and achievements of candidates, as they might fail to keep their promises. By voting, we are making our voice heard and registering our opinion on how the council should operate. Besides, we also can improve our living standards in case the chosen candidate comes up to our expectations and they keep their promises. Yet, there are also some students might claim that their votes don’t matter but that is completely wrong!!!

      So, everyone should recognize the importance of voting and act accordingly. Rather than just sit back and complain when something that the council does isn't in your best interest, get out and vote and make a difference.

"If I Could Rule the World, I Would...."
If I could rule the world, I would…...................

Nothing comes in my mind when I saw this topic. I tried hard to think of something about this topic. I stress my brain thinking what I might do if I have a power to rule the world that make me having difficulties sleeping for 3 nights, not eating very well, rolled over and over on the floor and sat on the chair staring at my computer for about an hour begging for an idea what I have to write. I still can’t think where to start. What a miserable…
 
Nah…stop this black cloudy day. That's all just a lies, just to attract you to read my entry..haha! But the part that I tried very hard thinking regarding this topic was 80% true where the other 20% I forgot what is all about.

Okay-okay...Stop talking nonsense here, back to the topic that I supposed to discuss.

As my fingers start pressing every letters on the keyboard, suddenly something came out from my mind. The first thing ever I would do if I could rule the world, I would like to heal people’s heart. Why? Because most of the disease came from the heart whether the physical chronic heart problem or the spiritual heart disease. What I meant by the spiritual heart disease which attacks everyone are selfish, greed, envy, violent and all sort of bad behavior came from us. Some people willing to kill rather than work hard, negotiate or working together to achieve what they want. So if I could rule the world I will hire an expert to invent a machine which can heal people heart. to change them to be a good and better person which led to a better life. 

When this came true, then I would like to create a peaceful world that is free from wars, violent and poverty or so called as Utopia; a perfect world . There will be no more war because of something ‘does not make sense’ political issue. There will be no more violent on women and children where they can go out or play free from fear of being rob, rape or kill.  It will be a healthy society and also no more poor people around because everybody generous helping each other without hesitation. It will be everyone’s dream world full of kindness and peaceful.

                 





When all the people have a kind heart,  we will take care of this earth and environment with no more pollution disaster and destruction  because our earth has suffered so much due to our carelessness in taking care the environment until it shows it’s anger towards us by the disaster like earthquake, flood, drought and changing the weather unexpectedly. Our next generation then can live in a good, clean and peaceful world.

My Educational Aspiration for 2011

The above philosophy tell us how important education to human. Without any education, human are nothing. For this topic, it is a great pleasure for us to discuss about “My educational aspiration for 2011” here.

We think, that your answers might be one of the above, right???? We know well because we also feel the same..HaHaHaHa. But now, as new semester has begun and also New Year, we want to make some changing in studying and attitude in oder to get the result with flying color and to become the better person. No more playing as we in Diploma.



STEPS TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS


  1. Wake up form the PAST



      Some of us might had a last semester result that was not something that we can proud off. So…take it as a challenge, because the past can be our good teacher to success in the future.


2. Study SMART not study HARD



We want to have early preparation for the final examination!! NO more last minute study…because, there was a lot of subject that need to revised before the examination.

So,we don’t want the same situation in the last semester happen again.









3. Never GIVE-UP
 
                                                  
In a way to fulfill our goal, there was no turning back!!! We need to push more to get what we want. The word GIVE UP must not have in our dictionary. 



    4. PRAY 


Never..Never..Never!! left this behind.This is the important part after all of our effort and energy has been given in order to success.Believe our Lord, ALLAH will hear our prayer if we performed without failed..Right??

        


   5.  DARE to FAIL 

     If all what we hope did not achieved,it is alright because we had tried our best and keep up trying and trying and trying until the end.
